Chris Widmayer

Chris Widmayer is Senior Vice President, Investments for Regency Centers.
Chris manages Regency’s investment strategy in the Southeast and leads the team responsible for ground-up developments and significant redevelopments.
In his 22 years at Regency, Chris has developed or redeveloped more than two million square feet of retail projects anchored by every major grocery anchor. Chris serves on Regency’s Real Estate Committee and is a recipient of the Joan and Martin E. Stein, Sr. Award, Regency’s highest honor, which recognizes employees’ business acumen and ethical standards.
Before joining Regency, Chris worked for Congressman Bob Carr and U.S. Senator Richard J. Durbin. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). He is a regular guest speaker for MBA and undergraduate real estate classes at UNC.
Chris is originally from Evanston, IL, and now lives in Raleigh, NC. He has served on the boards of Urban Ministries, Follow the Child Montessori, the Advisory Board for Band Together NC, and was named to the Triangle Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. Chris is also active in ULI, where he is a member of the Atlanta ULI Capital Markets Council and formerly served on a Product Council.
Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing golf, rowing, and watching football.
